Elevate Your Leadership Journey, From Manager to a an inspiring Leader 🌟

I am thrilled to share what I now realized, have really been a game-changing insight that transformed my career! Starting from just a simple executive to a business unit head and then a solopreneur, more than investors, funding partners, supporters and grief partners, what has helped me is my decision to engage a coach.

🌈 Many of us start as a worker and by luck or sheer hard work promoted as managers, but the real magic happens when we evolve into true leaders. 🌐✨. This doesn’t happen overnight. A lot of ups and downs, encouragement and discouraging comments, lack of participation from others and true supporter from the crew.

🔍 Insight: This insight is not measurable, but when I sit and think, this is it. Coaching is the key! 🗝️ As I navigated my managerial role, I realized the profound impact of coaching on personal and professional growth. It’s not just about managing tasks; it’s about inspiring a team toward a shared vision. It is working with commitment, passion and likeness. Not forced. 🌱

🤝 Personal Experience: Many a times, we waste our energy and moments on issues which actually do not matter. They don’t contribute to our journey in a positive or valuable way. They are just obstacle stones of thoughts.

Embracing coaching principles allowed me to shift from giving directives to fostering collaboration. I began asking powerful questions that ignited creativity and problem-solving within my team. The transformation was incredible! I value it personally.🚀

🌐 Industry Insights: In my 20s, I use to think coaching is only for emotional people, or those who lack acumen. Truth unveiled that every high level executive and C-level suites have been hiring coaches on regular basis, paying huge fee as they understand the value of the empowerment and embedded decisions.

Across diverse industries and sectors, coaching is recognized as a catalyst for leadership metamorphosis. Leaders who coach empower their teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.🌎

🛠️ Practical Steps: If you’re a manager aspiring to become a leader, consider integrating coaching into your leadership style. Few quick tips if you may practice by your own will be:

  1. Active Listening: Listening is a great skill. As Simon Sinek also says, leaders speak last. Truly hear your team’s thoughts and concerns. This builds trust and strengthens the leader-follower bond. This will be deep and inspiring.
  2. Feedback Culture: Coach level feedback is always constructive. Encourage open dialogue. Constructive feedback, both given and received, foster growth for individuals and the entire team.
  3. Empowerment: You don’t know, but they all know it so well. Trust your teams’ ability to deliver. Give autonomy. Allow team members to take ownership of projects, fostering a sense of responsibility and accomplishment.
  4. Goal Alignment: Making sure, we are speaking same language and are on same page. Many times, people are mentally engaged in their personal problems and goals. As a leader you need to find out a bit of everything to create alignment. It has to be a win win for every mental engagement. Else, nodding is usual by team members, and they go and waste your resource hiring money. Ensure every team member understands how their work contributes to the overarching goals. This creates a shared sense of purpose.
  5. Result: The transition from manager to leader isn’t about a title change; it’s a mindset shift. From problems to solutions.
